What is the Church of Scientology's true membership ?

I've heard anywhere from 5,000 to 16,000 left. Only the new IAS membership status upgrades count as the rest have obviously left.What is the Church of Scientology's true membership ?
Unless something drastic happens, we'll probably find out after it's dead. David Miscavige's only real claim to ';power'; is that he says it's grown since he took over. Which, of course, most Scientologists ';know'; as a bare faced lie.What is the Church of Scientology's true membership ?
I will also point out that CofS dues are pretty expensive. 450.00 for a year or 3k for a lifetime. Some members pay year to year, often letting their dues lapse until they are about to take a course. During that period of time, they'd undoubtedly drop off the IAS rolls.
The more money you pay, the higher ';status'; you attain.
I could not even guess. Google it. But know that those people have not yet understood the scam.
